Chicago, Illinois, USA – May 3, 2007

Leading Chinese law firm Lehman, Lee and Xu was invited to give a joint presentation titled "Children’s Advertising in the Crosshairs” at Chicago, Illinois. The seminar was hosted by the Global Advertising Lawyers Association (GALA) and sponsored by Leo Burnett Worldwide for advertising lawyers from 47 countries and clients of Leo Burnett. To name a few, famous brands like Proctor & Gamble, Kellogg’s, and McDonald’s had sent their representatives for the said seminar.

The presentation was a collaborative effort by GALA, with presenters representing the US, Germany, UK, and Brazil. Richard Wageman, a partner of Lehman, Lee & Xu, discussed issues relating to advertising laws in China. In his presentation, Richard also showed the participants some of the interesting ads which had not been approved by the authorities, and gave some practical tips on some do's and dont's in a TV commercial advertisement.
