Uno de los mejores expertos norteamericanos en negociación, Christopher Hill, llegará a Beijing para debatir sobre materia nuclear.
Beijing, China - May 30, 2007
Leading US negotiator Christopher Hill has arrived in Beijing to discuss the issue of the North Korea’s frozen funds in the Macao based Banco-Delta Asia. Hill is expected to meet with his Chinese counterpart Wu Dawei, to discuss over the said issue.
The North Korea was supposed to close a nuclear reactor site set up at Yongbyon after the 6 parties meeting on February 13th earlier this year. However, North Korea has failed to shut down the faciliteis, insisting that they cannot do it without having the US$25 million funds that is frozen in the Banco-Delta Asia. Unfortunately, the funds cannot be transferred from the bank due to various legal reasons. Christopher Hill is at the moment in Beijing to hopefully negotiate a way in which the funds can be moved so that the outstanding issues could be resolved amicably.
