How can the parties enforce the settlement agreements?
The parties may go through the Supreme People's Court for the enforceability of the settlement agreements. On November 1, 2002 the provisions issued by the Supreme People's Court concerning settlement agreements concluded through mediation took effect. The provisions state the jurisdiction of the People's Court and the recognition, enforcement, execution, variation and revocation of settlement agreements. The provisions also set out the procedures for applying to confirm and enforce or revoke such settlement agreements.
