There are three levels, depending on the potential environmental impact. If the assessed impact is small it is enough to fill in and file an environmental impact registration form. If the impact is considered light it is necessary to draw up an environmental impact report form containing a special analysis. If in any case the actual environmental impact does not comply with the approved environmental impact assessment report, the construction unit must correct the non-conformance and file a report on it to the assessment approval authority. If the impact is potentially major, it is necessary to draw up a report that contains a comprehensive assessment of the impact. The entities participating in the EIA are restricted and must hold a qualification certificate. The department handling examination and approval may not collect any fees.
