According to the Regulations for Tourist Hotels in the PRC, there are three main points regarding fees:
a) The hotel shall display the price list of its rooms in a conspicuous place preferably at the main service counter
b) Room fees shall be for a "Day/Night" time period
c) The hotel may charge additional service fees for additional service items provided by the hotel including meals, laundry and telephone services. The hotel must clearly state the fees for such additional services in the price list.
