What is the notification obligation of cargo receiver's if cargo loss occurs?
If after cargo inspection loss and damage occurs, the cargo receiver shall notify the operator in writing within 15 days starting from the second day after the cargo has been delivered in the container as a whole; or within 7 days starting from the second day after the cargo has been delivered out of the container. Otherwise such delivery by the operator shall be regarded as prima facie evidence that the cargo has been delivered in compliance with the requirements of the transportation document and the cargo has been delivered in good condition. If the delivery of cargo is delayed, the cargo receiver shall notify the operator in writing within 60 days starting from the second day after the cargo has been delivered, otherwise the operator will not be liable for the delay.
