What are the main challenges facing China if it is to establish transparent and efficient capital markets?
In the next 10 years, China needs to continue its reform in its capital markets by:
- Mobilizing domestic investments and channeling international capital flows.
- Reforming the financial system for capital markets to function efficiently.
- Building a market mechanism that is truly functional.
- Striving to continue to build a sound legal system, such as rationalizing provisions, filling legislative gaps, stepping up enforcement and strengthening the court system.
