Beijing Linhe Industrial Development Zone
Beijing Linhe Industrial Development Zone was established in November 1993. Located in the Shunyi district, it is 25 kilometers from downtown Beijing and 5 kilometers from the Capital Airport. In conjunction with Jiuxian Bridge Electronic Town and Konggang Development Zone, it forms an integral part of northeastern Beijing's electronic base.
The Beijing Linhe Industrial Development Zone is designated as the production base for microelectronic products in northern China.
Beijing Economic Technological Development Area (BDA)
Founded in 1991, the Beijing Economic Technological Development Area (BDA) is a national top-priority development area approved by the Chinese Central Government. Multinational companies from the United States, Japan, Germany, Britain, Italy, the Netherlands and other parts of the world have already invested in BDA.
The BDA is located beside the Beijing-Tianjin-Tanggu Expressway, a 90-minute drive to Xinggang Port, Tianjin and a 10-minute drive to Beijing City proper.
Beijing Experimental Zone for the Development of New Technology Industries (BEZ)
Established in May 1988, the Beijing Experimental Zone for the Development of New Technology Industries (BEZ) was the first national high & new technology industrial development zone in China. BEZ is located in Beijing's northwestern suburbs and comprises an area of approxiamtely100 square kilometers, where 138 scientific research institutes and 50 institutions of higher learning have already located themselves. Zhongguancun, China's "Silicon Valley" is situated in the central region of BEZ.
Shangdi Information Industry Base
The Beijing Shangdi Information Industry Base is a ground breaking industrial area. When it was set up in 1991, the Beijing Shangdi Information Industry Base was the first comprehensive high-tech industrial area in China to focus on the electronic information industry, dealing with scientific research, development, production, management, training and service. Adjacent to Zhongguancun, it occupies an area of 180 hectares. After only four years of operation, 85 enterprises, 35 of which are foreign invested joint ventures, have already established operations in the Shangdi Information Industry Base.
Fengtai Development Zone
The Fengtai Development Zone, referred to as "Beijing Fengtai Science City," offers preferential policies to investors wishing to set up an enterprise within its 50 square kilometer development zone. Targeted industries are biological engineering, applied aeronautics, and other high-technology industries, including new technology utilized in environmental science.
