May 20, 2005 – Twelve attorneys and trademark agents, including managing partner Edward Lehman, attended the Annual Meeting of the International Trademark Association held in San Diego, CA. The five-day event took place from May 14–18, and featured a theme of “That's Entertainment”. The meeting featured workshops and presentations regarding the protection of celebrity images, endorsement, merchandising, and other issues relevant to the entertainment industry, as well as IP protections in other sectors.

Lehman, Lee & Xu's staff look forward to this event every year, as it allows for networking among their global peers, development of skills and knowledge through workshops, as well as the attendance of many parties. For the past five years, Lehman, Lee & Xu has hosted a brunch in appreciation of their many clients, as well as their peers. This year's event saw the attendance of around 3,000 individuals, making it the largest brunch ever.

The meeting was attended by 7,580 attorneys, agents, professors and several students, breaking the record of 7,011 attendees at the 2002 event in Washington, DC. It is a truly global event, as approximately 60% of attendees were from overseas. Attorney Janet Yong, who chaired the Trademark Licensing Table Topics Session stated, “The event and session went very well. The parties were all lavish events with one taking place on a docked aircraft carrier, though the schedule was fairly hectic at times.” All Lehman, Lee & Xu staff are anticipating the next annual event, though the brunch organizers have much preparations to complete in order to exceed the standards set at the recent Annual Meeting.
