June 21, 2005 – LLX Attorney Janet Yong made a presentation entitled “Effective Commercial Contracts in China” to a group of approximately 80 industry insiders and legal counsel in London, England. The event was hosted at the law offices of Nabarro Nathanson, one of England's largest law firms, with the conference organized by C+1 Group, the commercial law offshoot of the Law Society of England and Wales. The group, predominantly in-house counsel, attended the event with the intention of gaining some relevant insight into contracting in various international jurisdictions, including France, Germany, US, Poland, India, and the Middle East. Many in the audience were both grateful and impressed by Ms. Yong's speech, as there has been little exposure from Chinese firms in England.
