Since graduating from the China University of Political Science and Law in Beijing, Professor Zhou Lin has been a very active advocate for IP rights in China. From 1989 to 1994, Professor Zhou Lin was employed by the National Copyright Administration of China as an executive editor of the quarterly magazine - Copyright. The years 1995 to 1996 saw a dramatic increase in copyright court cases, and he was invited by the Beijing Intermediate Court to judge IPR cases, focusing mainly on copyright, trademarks and trade dress(packaging). He has been working in the China Academy of Social Sciences since its establishment in 1994. Professor Zhou Lin is an advisor to the courts of Beijing and Shanghai and is an arbitrator of e-Resolution in Canada, dealing specifically with domain name disputes. In addition to copyright, he also specializes in art law and lectures part-time in art law in the Central China Art College, which has the only art law course in China. Professor Zhou Lin is the chief editor of The Reference Book for IPR Cases.
