The managing director of Lehman, Lee & Xu, has assisted companies and institutions from North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and South America with their activities in China since 1987. A permanent resident of China, he has extensive experience in handling strategic planning, negotiation, documentation, and legal compliance relating to the full scope of matters in which foreign entities engage in China. His area of expertise includes, but is not limited to, joint ventures and wholly-owned subsidiaries, direct investment in Chinese companies, restructuring, merger and acquisitions, technology licensing, intellectual property protection, finance, manufacturing and export processing, trading and distribution arrangements, infrastructure and construction, energy and natural resources development, transportation, hotel management, entertainment and film production.
A noted author and speaker on the subject of China law, Mr. Lehman serves as the Vice Chairman of the American Bar Association, International Law & Practice Section, China Law Committee. He has also served two terms on the Board of Governors of the American Chamber of Commerce in China and four terms as the President of the American Citizens Abroad China Chapter. He has authored numerous articles in English and Chinese on Chinese laws and is a weekly columnist for two of China Daily Newspaper Group's nationwide publications. Mr. Lehman hosts regular television and radio programs concerning China laws, regulations and policies on China Central Television (CCTV), Radio Beijing and China Radio International (CRI).
